WildCats

Wild Cats is children's Mixed Martial Arts program guiding our youth from the ages of 4 to 15 years of age. This is, to our knowledge, the first complete kids M.M.A. program of its kind here in the U.S. Our founders, Kelly Dullanty and Frank Shamrock are professional martial artists and instructors. Kelly Dullanty is also a member of the famed Shamrock Submission Fighting team.

Kelly Dullanty has been training and competing in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) since July 1999. MMA is mix of all full contact styles in sports combat. Those styles included Muay Thai kickboxing, wrestling, boxing, judo/ jiu-jitsu, submission grappling and Shamrock Submission Fighting.

In July of 1999, Kelly began training in submission fighting with five-time UFC champion Frank Shamrock. After an impressive showing in his first practice Kelly earned a spot on the Shamrock Submission Fighting Team, the hot rising team of MMA fighters that was taking shape at the academy.

Kelly's first fight came in April of 2000; he scored a first round Knockout in the King of the Cage (KOTC) promotion.

From there he would go on to win another victory in KOTC over top-rated fighter Duane Ludwig, another victory in a one-night, four-man IFC tournament and finally these performances would culminate in a UFC appearance in March of 2002.

While Kelly enjoyed the challenges of competition, he found himself engaged in what he believes is his true martial art calling-teaching children.

In September of 1999 he began what is one of the most unique martial arts programs available to kids today. Instead of sharing one particular style with his students Kelly thought to share them all with the same values and principles of the arts.

The curriculum Kelly has developed for his class encompasses the extensive training that he underwent with Mr. Shamrock and the Shamrock Submission Fighting Team in preparation for his MMA bouts; bouts he continues to engage in today.

This clear concise class and ranking system combines with the discipline and respect we have come to expect from any martial art. Our goal is the growth and guidance of our children; be it in self defense, everyday situations or proper behavior.

Today, the class is known as "WildCats Mixed Martial Arts," and the kids who train under Kelly's guidance learn elements of Boxing, Muay Thai/kickboxing, Submission grappling, Wrestling, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, and Shamrock Submission Fighting.

Wild Cats Mixed Martial Arts is committed to family, friends, community, and our children.
