SODCS

What is SODCS?

The Science of Officer Defense and Criminal Submission (SODCS) is a ground-breaking Martial Control System (MCS) created to help the modern officers protect him/her self while protecting our community. MCS are as old as the martial arts themselves and each system or style was created to combat or control a situation of force.

All martial arts can trace their lineage back to the time and incidence of the conflict and which art was created and implemented.

In traditional times the military force was the only group privy to these arts and they built strong traditions to protect themselves and to keep their style and martial arts alive.

These traditions live on today.

SODCS is a modern MCS designed for a modern society. We understand the social changes in our community and how that affects all of our lives. Our modern society, with its digital revolution of internet/intranet and instant information, would demand of us a modern solution.

Unfortunately to this day many law enforcement agencies still use traditional martial arts programs protect their officers.

SODCS was envisioned in 1995 by Frank Shamrock, at the time a college student and professional pugilist.

SODCS had humble beginnings. As an expert in hand to hand combat for sport, Frank Shamrock began unofficial testing of a new program titled Law Enforcement Training on active duty officers.

By the Year 2000 Frank Shamrock and Darrel Schenck would found and begin training officers in the SODCS program. To this date hundreds of officers have been trained in the SODCS system

With the support of the community and encouragement from fellow officers, the focus of our training program has always the individual safety of our officers and their communities.
