Giving back and supporting those who need a helping hand is something that we should all do.
Frank Shamrock sees this need and volunteers his time for many a noble cause. 'Charity is what makes you complete', says the champ.
The following are good will companies or items of concern that need our support.
Please take the time and read the brief descriptions for each one.
This first one is very close to my heart.
Michelle's Kidney - Michelle is my half sister who I met and grew up with as a little boy of 8 to 12 years old. She is a wonderful loving person with two beautiful children and a good strong husband. Diagnosed with the rare blood disorder Lupus she has fought with the illnesses that is creates for many years and as a result her kidneys are shot.
Michelle is currently on dialysis, which is a machine to clean her blood. With a heart as big as hers, she has found Janet; who will donate to her a new kidney. The last one came from her Michelle's own mom and I cannot imagine the sacrifice. Please help with a goodwill gesture of a few bucks.

Her story as told by Michelle:
My Info: Michelle Yvonne Roberts - Birthday 10/12/70.
I was diagnosed with systemic Lupus in Oct. of 1989; approx.17 yrs ago.
I've suffered a mild stroke, renal failure of both kidneys (lost a kidney after a kidney biopsy) and all this accompanied with grand mal seizures. Rheumatoid Arthritis, severe anemia and I have received countless blood transfusions. I did all this to stay alive.
I have also had two years of chemotherapy. Last thing is I lost kidney function in August of 2005 and now am on kidney dialysis and will be until I get a kidney transplant.
My friend Janet Moore is being tested to be a donor. We will be cross typed and matched (Meaning seeing if our blood is compatible) on Oct. 3rd of 2005.
Results should come in the following week. Keeping fingers crossed!!!! Janet Moore is a wonderful person for doing this.
Her B-day is December 4 th , 1971. This is a very big thing to do for someone. Our main problem is she used all her PTO and Vacation time and since she's a Nurse. She cannot go back in 2 weeks because she has to lift more than 25 lbs.
Financially for 6 to 8 weeks Janet has no income. How do you ever say thank you enough to a person doing this for you. I get 325 a month. That's it... So I cannot compensate funds for her time lost or lost work.
We are trying to raise the money through charities and /or car washes ANYTHING we can do to help pay extra medical expenses and her time off work.
You have no idea how scary it is to fight for your life but I need everyone's help and appreciate anything you can do to help out. It means soooooooo much to me. I am grateful. Thank You for listening to my problems being there for me and for your love. Michelle Roberts
American Cancer Society - http://www.cancer.org/docroot/DON/don_0.asp
Joe O'Halloran is my stepfather and watching him gracefully fight this silent killer set me into action at a whole new level and to start: I donated my famous purple Chevy Camaro to the cause. Yearly my companies donate clothing, cash, and property to the Cancer Society. If you know of anyone who has a loved one that has experienced the ravages of cancer you will want a cure in the near future.
Support the American Cancer Society with anything that you think could help.

Frank Shamrock - Board of Directors
Bridging Borders is here to provide youth and families with human health services that will structure and empower their lives with the appropriate life skills to ensure a life of success and individual freedom.
While Bridging Borders has the vision, a very competent and reputable board of directors, and many years of experience, we do need support to begin this endeavor.
Our first program that we will implement is TIME, Through Inclusion Many Evolve. This program will work cohesively with the Indianapolis Public Schools, and the Indianapolis Police Department in gang prevention and intervention. The program will reduce gang and youth violence, gang recruitment, and provide positive alternatives for youth, and a strong support structure for the families.
Donate something to our youth and their future: http://www.tgbridgingborders.org/ContactUs.asp |
